Rappahannock Goodwill and Made That Launch AI Skills Training

Rappahannock Goodwill Industries Launches AI Skills Training in CareerPath Accelerator This April, Selecting Made That as Its Training Partner
New partnership integrates interactive AI training into Goodwill's CareerPath Accelerator program, launching April 2026
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — April 7, 2026 — Rappahannock Goodwill Industries and Made That, a training platform for AI skills, today announced a partnership to equip job seekers across Central Virginia with practical AI and workplace skills through Goodwill's CareerPath Accelerator program.
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) is launching AI skills training Monday, April 6, as a key component of CareerPath Accelerator, its career development program serving job seekers across Central Virginia. RGI funds and operates the initiative, and has selected Made That — an AI skills training platform — as its chosen partner to deliver the training.
Through the partnership, job seekers entering roles across industries where AI tools are reshaping how work gets done will learn to use AI tools like voice mode, projects, and custom assistants — applied to real tasks like interview prep, client communication, and workflow automation. Beyond those tracks, each learner gets a personalized experience: Made That's platform creates custom training based on their target role.
"We are launching the CareerPath Accelerator to prepare young people and adults for success in a rapidly-changing workforce," explained Steve Cox, President & CEO of Rappahannock Goodwill. “Made That offers top-tier, engaging, and practical AI-training to help candidates stand out from the competition and excel in their jobs."
"Millions of Americans are trying to learn how to use AI for work and don't know where to start,” said Athena Kan, CEO and co-founder of Made That. "Partnering with Rappahannock Goodwill lets us reach the job seekers who stand to benefit the most. Their team has been an incredible thought partner in shaping this curriculum for the real needs of their community."
Rappahannock Goodwill serves over 10,000 job seekers annually across Fredericksburg and surrounding counties, welcoming anyone ready to work, regardless of where they're starting from or what brought them here. Expected participants in the new program speak more than 11 languages, come from every stage of their career journey, and bring a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Made That was selected in part because its design matches that reality: lessons run 10 to 15 minutes, content adapts to each learner's skill level, and every session is built around immediate practical application.
Goodwill's Mission Services team demoed AI for interview roleplaying at a local high school career workshop, where it sparked engaged discussion among students about how AI tools can support their career journeys.
"I was amazed at the thoughtful discussion which Made That sparked amongst the students. They are gaining the essential work readiness skills that businesses need, but in a fresh, creative approach by using AI," shares Marty Bywaters-Baldwin, Chief Mission Officer for Rappahannock Goodwill. "This partnership is building an agile and engaged workforce for the future."
